Whenever
a question arises about watering holes in Playa del Carmen,
almost without exception, everyone defers to the forum’s
recognized authority on this frequently-raised issue. The
potentate of potent potables! That
arbiter of all matters alcoholic!

Peep Fest 2006 is thrilled to announce that this
highly-respected textbook on intemperance has agreed to serve as
our guide on an evening of exploration at some of Playa’s more
interesting and entertaining purveyors of intoxicants and
entertainment.
So
frequently, we fall into a comfortable rut of patronizing the
"same old" establishments, and while this venture is
certainly not intended to bring an end to those entrenched
loyalties, it’s always good to broaden one’s circle of
experience.

This
safari into the unexplored world of adult refreshments
will begin with a rendezvous at the
centrally located Bourbon Street on 5th
Avenue between Calle 6 & Calle 8 |

the potential for the more distant

though
these last few would require vehicular transportation, so may
prove unworkable. |

With
bars, taverns and lounges opening and closing at the rate
they do in Playa, and new players appearing on the scene
with the frequency they do in this dynamic environment,
this list is obviously not going to be finalized until the
very last moment. |

You
may rest assured, however, that you’ll be pushing the
envelope and expanding your horizons. |
So,

the way, for those of you who might be intimidated and dismayed
by the daunting notion that you might be expected to keep pace
with tireless JimmyMN, forgetaboutit! Ain’t gonna’ happen!
We’re
sure that after he has used us all up, and we’ve fallen,
one-by-one, defeated, by the wayside, Jimmy will head off to get
on with the rest of his evening. Remember the little pink bunny?
Just keeps goin’, and goin’, and goin’...
So
come out and join our happy throng. As the evening progresses,
it may prove expedient to rope us together like kids on a
day-care outing, but we’ll deal with that as the necessity
arises.
